Thousands of people will put their soles into walking and running at Fort Worth's longstanding favorite, Joe's Run. The event benefits Samaritan House which provides much needed housing and resources for positive change in the lives of persons living with HIV/AIDS and other special needs. Samaritan House, located in Fort Worth, is a Texas non-profit, 501C 3 agency providing valuable services for people in our area for 20 years. For the first time, the 2012 Joe's Run will not only feature a 5K and 10K but also a Family Fun Walk. The walk will be an opportunity for everyone to participate in this exciting worthwhile event. Joe's Run will also feature activities that are fun for the entire family including food, music, interactive games and more. Fort Worth's favorite party band, Trigger Fish, will be performing again this year along with the Samaritan House Inspirational Choir. Proceeds from Joe's Run will be used to support Samaritan House where services are geared to rescue, nurture and launch people toward healthier and more independent lives. More than 400 people are housed and served through Samaritan House and its programs, both individuals and families with children, are benefited.
