The Association of Citizens for Education (A.C.E.) will be hosting its first annual Cinco De Mayo Festival on Saturday May 5th 2012 from 11am til midnight. This family friendly event will be taking place on the Colorado River at the beautiful Riverbend Park in Smithville TX located right off of HWY 71. The day will be full of music and fun! Not only will we have a full day of activities for the kids including face painting, a clown who makes balloon animals, craft tables, moonwalks, Chihuahua races and a dunking booth but we will also have lots of fun for the adults with live music, a car show, folklorico dancers, and tasty food and adult beverages. Live music will not be the only headliner of this party we will also have the largest breakable pinata in Texas 15ft donkey pinata is currently being constructed for this event. Tickets are $10 at the gate for folks 13 and over and kids are free. Proceeds from the event will go to funding innovative teaching and program enhancement grants for SISD teachers. This is sure to be an event that the entire family will enjoy all while benefiting a good cause so plan on coming out and taking a whack at the ACE donkey!
