Aubrey Peanut Festival October 7, 2017. Although peanut harvesting in the Aubrey area is in the past, area citizens have gathered in the town of Aubrey for an annual salute to the peanut as a part of their heritage since 1986. The year 2017 is the sesquicentennial celebration of the founding of Aubrey. This year Aubrey's 150 years of heritage will be celebrated at the annual Peanut Festival. Peanut pride has grown over the years that an estimated 8,000 visitors enjoy the free day-long festival.

There will be live music all day long extending into the evening. After the festivities of the day, visitors are encouraged to bring a lawn chair and cooler and enjoy live music into the evening, and dance in the streets of downtown Aubrey.
Booth rentals for the festival are available. Booth spaces are assigned on a first come basis and range in price from $55 - $300. The deadline for booth applications is September 23, 2016.
