Maw's Cornbread

Ingredients
Corn Meal 1 Cup Flour 1 Cup
Sugar ½ Cup Baking Powder 3 tsp.
Salt 1 tsp. Cooking Oil ¼ Cup
Eggs 2 Milk  1 Cup

Utensils

  • 8" cast iron skillet
  • Mixing Bowl
  • Measuring Cup

Instructions

Preheat Oven to 350°, cover the bottom of an 8" cast iron skillet with cooking oil and preheat. Mix dry ingredients, Add eggs; milk; oil, mix thoroughly.  Pour into the preheated skillet.   This forms a good crust.  Bake 45 - 60 minutes. (until done)
