Colorado Bend State Park is a great place for tent campers who like to fish and swim in the iconic Colorado River. The amenities are limited.
There are 35 tent sites. The tent sites have no water or electricity. There are three composite toilets. There are is one water spigot and one rinse off shower for the whole campground.
There is a boat ramp, and a fish cleaning station. The park also rents Kayaks.
Besides camping, fishing and boating, there are hiking and biking trails and guided cave tours. But the crown jewel of the park is Gorman Falls.
"Gorman Falls Tours: experience the unique beauty of this jewel of the hill country on a guided tour. The tour lasts about two hours and includes a 1.5-mile round trip hike."
