Comments: Norma & Lamar Hunt Family Stadium was donated by their sons, Lamar Jr., Clark and Dan, all three graduates of St. Mark's School, in honor of their parents. Lamar Hunt was most well known as the principal founder of the American Football League, but was also a founder of the North American Soccer League, Major League Soccer and World Championship Tennis. Hunt was also the owner of the Kansas City Chiefs of the NFL and was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. The Hunt family still owns the Chiefs, as well as FC Dallas of MLS, and Hunt is credited with coining the phrase "Super Bowl" for the NFL's championship game.
