Complete overhaul of this historic stadium with new synthetic turf for both football and soccer. A new press box on the west stands will be constructed above the current one with an elevator for handicapped access. Also, new facilities, including concessions, restrooms and brand new locker rooms will be reconstructed.(2023)
Ball High School is named for George Ball who donated the funds for the school to the city of Galveston in 1883. Galveston Ball played the first High School Football game in the state of Texas in the Fall of 1892.
